"Stardust Noel," A MERRY CHRISTMAS CAROL

VERSE:

At first, I thought I had an eyelash in my eye.

I blinked again, and then another time.

On my pillow, I saw silver twinkling tinsel flakes,

Glistening like moonbeams across a frozen lake.

Holiday dewdrops burn like fire and gold.

Magical light, such a sight to behold.

CHORUS:

Oh, I woke up Christmas morning,

With Stardust Noel in my eyes.

What an extra special dazzling surprise.

I was just expecting presents beneath the tree.

Instead, stardust from the angels fell on me.

VERSE:

Some people might get cinders for a Christmas gift.

Ashes in their stocking weren’t on their list.

Everyone is watching for a white romantic snow,

But there's nothing like a burst of sweet celestial glow.

You might think the heavens are oh so distant,

Or question if the angels actually exist.

CHORUS:

Oh, I woke up Christmas morning,

With Stardust Noel in my eyes.

What an extra special dazzling surprise.

I was just expecting presents beneath the tree.

Instead, stardust from the angels fell on me.

Yes, stardust from the angels fell on me.

BRIDGE:

It was like someone threw

A pocketful of diamond-like confetti.

Now I’d like to share it with you!

So, catch it if you’re ready.

CHORUS:

Oh, I woke up Christmas morning,

With Stardust Noel in my eyes.

What an extra special dazzling surprise.

I was just expecting presents beneath the tree.

Instead, stardust from the angels fell on me.

Yes, stardust from the angels fell on me.

TAG:

You wonder if I’m a little bit na├»ve,

And you don’t really want to believe,

But stardust from the angels fell on me.

Stardust from the angels fell on me.

TAG:

See the world like it's all brand new,

And watch your Christmas wishes come true.

Yes, stardust from the angels fell on me.

Stardust from the angels fell on me.

Queen Anne Doll: The Story of a Wooden Girl

I am a wooden doll.

I feel stiff as a tree.

I would like to be real.

I would like to be free.

My smile is too sharp.

My dress is too tight.

I tried to be perfect.

It doesn’t feel right.

My head is too oval.

My waist is too thin.

My fingers look like forks.

Oh, where to begin?

I am owned by the wealthy,

When I sit and when I rise.

I dance to their music.

I never feel a surprise.

Love would make me soft.

Then I could feel warm.

My hair would not be fake.

I would not have to perform.

I could tell my own secrets.

I could drink my own tea.

I could make my own choices.

I would dress up as me.
