Once there was a bird named Mr.
Robin that fought for the love of a Bluebird.
He admired her more than any other
bird and wouldn’t let anyone else near her.
Every time the couple flew past
windows, he mistook his reflection for another robin.
“What do you want with us?” Mr.
Robin would say, flying toward the reflection.
With that, he would knock his head
against the glass and go bouncing to the ground.
He knocked his head on so many
windows that he finally knocked sense into himself.
“Marry me!” he said to the Bluebird,
holding his swollen and bandaged head.
“I love you, dear,” she said, “but
you must stop running into windows before you break one.”
