Checkers is a
Feline cat.
He’s black and white,
And that is that.
His coat has squares
Of different shades.
He likes to play
Games like charades,
But he’s really best
At games on a board.
He’s cuter than cute
And so adored.
He’ll win your pieces
From the game,
And to be sure
Chess is not the same.
He’ll jump over you,
Or he’ll go askew.
Then he will have won
Out of the blue.
Don’t be fooled!
He’s not just a cat,
But a master mind
That wears a checkered hat!
