Larkspur: The Story of the Delphinium

A long time ago, there was a beautiful dolphin that was targeted by sharks.
The sharks didn’t have her sleek nose, lovely singing voice, and friendly smile.
So, day and night, the sharks stalked her through one wave after another.
The dolphin was scared that she was going to be killed and wash up on shore dead.
Neptune, the god of the sea, had always loved the dolphin and cared about her safety.
One day, when Neptune had enough of the awful behavior of the sharks,
He transformed the dolphin into a lovely flower and named her Larkspur.
Neptune loved her open heart, sweet disposition, and genuine laughter.
Before any of the sharks could hurt her again, she bloomed on an oceanside overlook.
Now her nose is one of the most beautiful flowers in a springtime garden.
Every tear the dolphin cried while being chased grew into something magnificent.
